Colkirk and Sculthorpe Church of England Primary Academies and Little Snoring Community Primary Academy
Meet the Unity Federation Local Governing Body…
Lucy Dryden – Staff Governor for Colkirk
I am the Head of School at Little Snoring Primary Academy. I am committed to supporting the schools in our Federation, and those in our DNEAT family, and representing the views of colleagues, parents, and carers within our community.
As both a parent with a child at Colkirk Primary School and an experienced teacher and leader across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, I bring a dual perspective to my role. I have previously served as both a parent governor and staff governor in various schools and value the opportunity to contribute to the Federation’s passion for education and its dedication to providing the best opportunities for the young people in our care.
It is a privilege to be involved and to inform our discussions and to enable the children to
“Have Faith, Flourish and Fly High.”
Bruce Gordon - Chair
I am an experienced school governor and spent ten years supporting the primary school my children attended.
I now work for the Diocese of Norwich Education Support Company as a Governance Improvement Officer, working with schools and headteachers to support the operation of local governance in schools.
I am currently supporting nine local governing bodies across the Diocesan Trusts in Norfolk.
In my previous working life, I spent over thirty years working on and supporting, the restoration of vintage aircraft.
I am married with three children and am also a trustee with the Evolution Academy Trust.
Jo Davenport - Trust Appointed Governor
My name is Jo Davenport. I am a newly retired teacher.
For the last 17 years I have been a Head Teacher of two Norfolk schools including a small village primary.
I live in Fakenham and am keen to offer my support to local schools. My reason for becoming a governor at the Unity Federation is because I started my Norfolk teaching career at Little Snoring Primary School.
It feels as though I am completing the circle with the opportunity to give back to three important small school communities.
Andrew Turner- Parent Governor
I am a parent governor with a child at Little Snoring School.
I live in Fakenham, and am keen to support the Federation by bringing a parent's perspective to the governing body.
I find this role to be a valuable one, as it provides an essential channel to ensure that the views of parents and carers feed back to the school leaders, ensuring that they continue to implement the Federation vision.
Richard Moden – Parent Governor
I have recently retired from a Child Protection / Safeguarding and Investigations role and now work for the Synergy Multi Academy Trust in Business Support, whilst also delivering Restorative Justice for another service provider.
My motivation for becoming a parent governor is to play a part in my sons education, ensuring that he and all the other pupils at Colkirk get the very best opportunities during their time at this lovely little school.
