As we all need to still be aware of the COVID situation, please make sure you are aware of symptoms and take appropriate action if anyone in your family displays those symptoms. The NHS website is the best place for this advice
https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/
If they do, please inform us immediately and then get a test for the family. This is very quick and easy to do and will give peace of mind, as well as ensuring we can limit the spread of the virus.
This link tells you how to get a test https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/testing-and-tracing/get-an-antigen-test-to-check-if-you-have-coronavirus/
If a negative test result has been obtained then there is no need to self isolate. If the result is positive, you must inform us as we have to inform the relevant authorities and put measures in place. If you take the test, please inform us of the result as soon as possible.
Please note that we continue to follow advice from the Department for Education and Public Health England. The safety of our children, families and staff is extremely important to us but unless we have a direct instruction to close, the school will remain open as usual. We would inform you as always via text and email if an instruction to close was given.
In the meantime, please follow advice yourselves on the NHS websites and other websites, such as Norfolk County Council. Please ensure your child is able to wash their hands effectively, this is something we are talking to them about in school also. Please do refer to the information and websites below for more information.
Coronavirus - what you need to know!
You can help to slow the spread of Coronavirus!
- Make sure you and your children follow these general principles to prevent spreading any respiratory virus:
- Wash your hands often – with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, or an alcohol-based sanitiser if soap and water aren’t available.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
- If you feel unwell and display any symptoms, stay at home and don’t attend work or school. Apply for a test online straight away.
- Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in a bin.
- Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces in the home.
- If you’re worried about your symptoms, please call NHS 111 – don’t go directly to your GP or other healthcare environment.

Catch - Up Funding
Children and young people across the country have experienced unprecedented disruption to their education as a result of coronavirus (COVID-19).
We know that we have the professional knowledge and expertise in our academies to ensure that children and young people recover and get back on track. Returning to normal educational routines as quickly as possible will be critical to our national recovery.
The government has announced £1 billion of funding to support children and young people to catch up. This includes a one-off universal £650 million catch-up premium for the 2020 to 2021 academic year to ensure that schools have the support they need to help all pupils make up for lost teaching time. Below you can download your child's academy catch-up funding plan.
